We’re delighted to say one of our #CareMoor for Exmoor supporters, Miles Tea and Coffee, based in Porlock, is helping us promote our beautiful scenery through an interactive social media campaign. We’re looking for Tweeters and Facebookers to post scenic views of Exmoor with a #SelfTea ie to include a Miles product in your picture too. The three best ones we receive by Monday 12th September will win a selection of Miles Tea and Coffee products.
Miles Tea and Coffee have been great supporters of our donation scheme, contributing to the upkeep of our outstanding landscapes. All funds raised go directly towards supporting important conservation and access work across the National Park.
One of the first things you notice when you visit Porlock is the lure of the smell of roasted coffee! And if you venture down the lane, you’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome and a chance to try Miles Tea, Coffee and Heavenly Hot Chocolate!
The company was started by Derek Miles, who had a love of the villages, coast and community on Exmoor and made Lock’s Cottage in Porlock his home in the 1960s. A decade later, he joined an old friend, Norman Halls, in buying his grandfather’s tea business which had been established in 1888 (eventually moving all production from the Midlands and Chepstow to Minehead and Porlock, where Miles still is today).
Miles combines modern approach to coffee roasting and packing with the use of traditional methods for blending and tasting. The company continues to evolve, with a rebrand in 2015 across the range of products. Miles Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate range can be found in Farm shops and a wide selection of supermarkets and convenience outlets across the West Country and beyond. They are the only brand in the UK to be listed in the top 5 for tea and coffee sections of ‘Best Brands’ magazine 2016. And their inspiration? The stunning scenery of Exmoor that surrounds them and shines through all they do!

Tweet or post your picture on our Facebook page with the hashtags #ExmoorSelfTea and #CareMoor for the chance to win a great selection of Miles tea, coffee and chocolate products, plus help us promote the great work done by #CareMoor.
The winners will be selected in the first week of September and their pictures will be hosted on our blog.
